A year ago we dared to dream.
We built our castles - built them high,
And while we spun them out of reach,
We searched for stairways to the sky.
Each took his different, questing way,
Our paths together, yet alone.
Our paths together, yet alone.
"Impossible," we would not say,
But "Courage," through the world we roam.
But "Courage," through the world we roam.
Today, quite unexpectedly,
My feet have found the cloud-built stair.
Is this my castle? This, my dream?
These steps could lead me anywhere.
These steps - they could lead anywhere.

Sarah, this poem is so good, and timely! I just finished "chatting" with a friend in the U.S. about our journey together, reading through a book called "You're Made for a God-Sized Dream," by Holley Gerth. Are the stairs the "dreams" God has for us? Thanks for sharing! :)
Now that is an exciting though! Beautifully written!
Your poems are always so natural and fluid, and I love this one just as much as ever! And it makes me think of that sweet chapter in Little Women about their castles in the air!
Beautiful, Jayne. :)
Thanks, gals. :)
Ruthie, in this poem the stairway is any opportunity that comes one's way...the quandary is deciding weather that particular stairway leads to your dreams (castles), or if it belongs to someone else.
Well said, Jayce! :-)
Yes, it was beautiful...almost 2 weeks ago. For those of us who don't see you every day, an update would be brilliant!
Yes, I agree. An update would be brilliant! :)
