Actually, because I hate when things don't turn out exactly how I planned them...even when a potentially cuter alternative comes along. "It was Thomas Edison!" I burst out, after a moment of surprise, and so I laughed which makes many things better - mostly. But I still needed some help, so I had some comfort food....

Lovely roses. We are keen to see Tangled in this house, but it's not out on DVD over here yet, so we will have to have a bit of patience too :0)
Oh, Sarah, I have to tell you something funny! I tried commenting on your post earier today - numerous times, without success. Not sure what the problem was, but it was trying my patience. :)
I am glad you were able to find joy amidst the frustration. Your post reminds me of my last sewing project, several years ago, when I made pajama pants. I bought one of the the easy one-hour patterns. But it took me more than a day. And, I realized I really am not a seamstress when I sewed the pockets shut. I wondered, "Why do pajama pants need pockets anyway?" I finally finished them and learned lots of patience in the process. :) Hope you finish your skirt successfully and without much more frustration.

Ruthie, that is so funny! Sewing something I'm not familiar with is always a battle in my mind: Do I compromise the quality and get 'er done? ...it'll look fine either way... :)
